A burgeoning legal field
In the aftermath of Watergate, journalism schools experienced record surges in interest and admissions. Are we due for a similar surge for law schools? The country is experiencing a surging interest in all things legal. Maybe it started with the '00 elections. Maybe it started with OJ and Jon Bonet. Whatever it is, there is a clear movement towards greater interest in legal proceedings at the highest level. Fox news has added a new "Law Center" section to its website.
Warrantless wiretaps, two new supreme court justices and several highly publicized cases may have brought the legal process to the attention of millions. It seems that our society has become increasingly litigous but at least we've also become increasingly aware. I suppose lawyers aren't all bad ;)
